New Upgrades and Feel

The new G Pro 3.0 retains its predecessor, the G Pro 2.0’s factory pre-lubed feature, and features a transparent upper housing, and white base. The G Pro 3.0 has the condenser light effection structure as well, but with a new frosted, light-guided surface to make the backlight brighter and more consistent. We also upgrade the G Pro 3.0’s pin to be harder for a more stable and smoother typing experience.

Three-Ply Chunky Switch Pin

This switch is crafted with a 0.3-0.33 mm chunky three-ply pin for a more reliable connection and a longer life span. The stronger pin allows for less damage and deformities. Although its strength increased, its thickness did not change and will not affect the hot swap usage.

I really enjoy the Silver Pro switches I got. It has made for a much less fatiguing typing experience compared to the blue switches I was using prior. Swapping the switches out was also very easy using the Gateron switch puller :)

Good Switches

I don't know much about switches but for me they worked pretty well and felt pretty good.

Smooth, reasonably loud and quick to trigger

I‘ve been using these switches for about a month now and am pretty happy with them. The key trigger very early, and most of the way down is effectively empty, which is nice for me as it helps in fighting games like brawlhalla. The switches reset swiftly to 0 and I never find myself waiting for keys to rise. They produce a statisfying, yet somewhat „soft“ sound. The click is not as „harsh“ and „clicky“ as classic old mechanical switches, they are a bit quieter and the sound is more akin to something soft striking something hard, rsther than something hard striking something hard. Nonetheless the volume and sound itself are appreciable and I much enjoy the overall vibe of typing on these switches, although they’re perhaps a little too noisy for a quiet office space. The linear resistance makes each tap feel smooth and consistent.

Overall the only complaint I have is that there is quite a lot of empty space beneath the „click“ itself. It seems the key releases about 1/3rd of the way down, with the remaining 2/3rds being „dead space“. Perhaps a little less would have been fine too.

Gateron G Pro 3.0 Silver

Switches came today and I had to put them into barebone keyboard and try. G Pro 3.0 Silver by typing experience are superior in every way compared to Romer G linear. I would definitely recommend to my friends and colleagues to try them. Such premium typing experience. Would buy again
